Ako Kifu (木府 亜子 Kifu Ako) is a matron of the girls dormitory at Onmyo Academy and a good friend of Mako Fujino.

- The name Ako means "second, Asia" (亜) (a) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Ako's surname Kifu means "tree, wood" (木) (ki) and "borough, urban prefecture, govt office, representative body, storehouse" (府) (fu).

- When her surname (Kifu) is put together with Mako's surname (Fujino), it can be spelled as "Kifujino", which is a play on the word "Kifujin" that means "rotten woman" in Japanese where it is usually used to describe adult women with interest in Boys Love fiction.
